We welcome you to Turning Point Church. We aim to love God with all of our heart and our neighbors as ourselves.  We are an established church family with a fresh vision for ministry.  We desire to make a positive impact in our community for Jesus Christ.  We encourage you to take some time to find out who we are and what God is doing at Turning Point.

First Time Guests

If you are looking for a church home, let me introduce you to the Turning Point Church.  Our church has a classical Pentecostal heritage combined with a fresh vision to do ministry in creative ways to express the love of Jesus to our community.  When you attend one of our Sunday morning worship services, we hope you will enjoy the experience.  You will notice that our church family is diverse – made up of different races, generations, and economic and educational backgrounds.  We like it that way because we believe it reflects what heaven will be like.  We want every person and family to feel welcome at Turning Point.

It is never easy to visit a new church for the first time so we want to be as helpful as we can to make your experience a fantastic one!  Turning Point Church is a friendly place!  When you enter, a greeter will welcome you and request some basic information to help get acquainted with you.  Our Hospitality Team is there to serve you and help you feel comfortable at our church.  They will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

What about my children?

We have a wonderful ministry for your children (12 and under).  The program for the children begins at 9:30 during our Sunday Bible Study.  The children are involved in Bible classes and a worship service designed specifically for them.  Under the care of loving adults and teens, the children will be taught the Word of God and given the opportunity to experience God’s presence in worship in a way that they can understand and appreciate.

We also have a nursery for infants (2 and under) which you can safely sign your child into or use as necessary for changing, feeding or calming your baby.

What about my teens?

The teens (ages 13 and above) worship with the adults in the sanctuary.  However, there are plenty of opportunities for them to be involved in ministry and worship experiences designed specifically for them.  There is a Sunday Bible Study class for them from 9:30 to 10:20 each week.  On Wednesday nights, there is a youth worship service designed for them and led by them.  Under the direction of our Youth Pastor, the youth are challenged with teaching from God’s Word and experience the presence of God in worship.  Along with these, there are many opportunities to participate in other activities and ministries.

What should I wear?

Come dressed as you feel comfortable – you will see people dressed in everything from suits to jeans & t-shirts.  You will be warmly embraced at Turning Point Church.

Worship

This time is set aside for communicating with God from our hearts. We have live upbeat worship as well as more intimate songs of worship. We try to include a variety of styles – hymns, choruses, traditional, and contemporary. Everyone worships in their own unique way – for many, that means singing & clapping, and for others it means quietly reflecting on the words. You’re welcome to do whatever makes you feel most comfortable.

Why we sing as we do

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your hearts to the Lord.” Ephesians 5:18-19

Why we clap our hands

“Oh clap your hands all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.” Psalms 47:1

Why we lift our hands

“Lift up your hands in the Sanctuary and bless the Lord.” Psalms 134:2

“Thus will I bless thee while I live, I will lift up my hands in Thy Name.” Psalms 63:4

Why we praise the Lord out loud

“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness; come before his presence with singing.” Psalms 100:1-2

The ministry of Giving | Offering

Each week there is a time to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings. As our guest, please do not feel any pressure to give. This is an act of worship for our church family, allowing them to thank God for all of the great work He is doing in their lives. It also gives our church family the means to reach more people for Christ in the future.

The Message (sermon)

Every weekend, you will hear a relevant, straightforward message that is based on Scripture and is designed to be helpful in your everyday life. We trust that these messages will help you develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and provide a strong Biblical foundation for your life.

After the service, visit the Guest Reception

As a guest, you’ll be asked to fill out a Guest Card as well as receive an invitation to the Guest Reception following the service to meet some of the leaders in our church. If you have further questions about the church, an upcoming event, or a ministry of the church, one of our leaders will be glad to answer your questions during this time. Please stop by and visit with us.

The Prayer Room

The Prayer Room is open one hour before all Worship Services and ALL are Welcome!
